this is Styal Cross in Cheshire. Styal village is an old industrial village and original mill from the early 19th century which has been preserved by the National Trust. Styal Cross is a remnant of a medieval cross. The house in the distance is the methodist chapel. This picture was taken in (ridiculously) early morning in May some years ago.
